Fresh Estate & Letting Agents was formed by company directors Matthew Wiggall & Dean Brain and first opened its Uplands showroom in April 2011. Matthew and Dean both previously worked for top local agents and gained good reputations locally for their quality of work and for getting results.
“Opening this business was a natural step for us both and a decision we have never looked back on. We both have a passion for property and delivering great customer service, so we wanted to use this along with our combined 29 years of experience in property to deliver a first-class property service. We started the business with just a brand and with no properties to our name in difficult market conditions. Fast forward to present day and we are immensely proud to have a thriving property business recognised for its strong Property Sales department, Residential Letting Department and being a leader in the busy Student Letting market.
Providing high levels of Customer Service is at the heart of our business and this has been the main reason for the rapid growth we’ve experienced from a standing start. We always ask new clients how they came to contact us and a positive referral is often the answer. To gain these positive referrals you must do a better job than just the ‘standard’ that a customer is expecting. Our aim is always to get all of our customers to feel the need to sing our praises after we have completed some property business for them!
To date, we have not been in the habit of entering industry competitions, instead relying on strong testimonial campaigns to tell the public what a great service we provide. This said we were put forward in 2016 into the prestigious Swansea Bay Business Awards, the only property business to be nominated, and were immensely proud to be in the top three for the 0–25 Employees category and were Highly Commended for our service.
We started the business with just the two of us and have now grown to a team of over 16 staff members in just a 6-year period. We are very particular with our staff selection and only appoint new individuals if they buy into our project and the standards that we set. This careful approach has provided us with an excellent team who we are very proud of. For Dean and I personally it is wonderful to see new staff coming through the business as we once did.
We have always embraced the latest marketing and software to drive and support our business. There have been so many changes in how customers view properties and interact with you as property experts that you need to be changing all the time. We have noticed how some property agencies have been left behind or have just been very slow to react to changes. For any customers that use our property services you can be assured that we are backed by the latest software, procedures and marketing techniques.
In 2017 we opened up our new Morriston Showroom, which occupies a prime high street position. This was a necessary expansion to accommodate our growing team of staff. In this modern digital age the need for multi branch offices to effectively market properties across Swansea is not what it was and as a business we cover ALL of Swansea through our two offices.
